Dean Chen Yanming of The Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, leads delegation to Singapore for international academic exchange
On October 27, 2024, Professor Chen Yanming, Dean of The Eighth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, led a delegation to the National University of Singapore (NUS) for an international academic exchange. The delegation included Cai Zhaopeng, Director of the Talent Service Office, and Peng Boya, Associate research fellow.

In the morning, Dean Chen and the delegation visited NUS and its laboratories, and engaged in academic discussions with several professors. Both sides delved into topics such as metabolic research, tumor epigenetics, and large-scale cohort studies on chronic diseases, laying a strong foundation for future research collaboration.


In the afternoon, the delegation attended the Sun Yat-sen University Overseas Talent Reception, where Dean Chen delivered a speech as a departmental representative. She warmly welcomed the attendees, expressed her sincere gratitude, and provided a detailed overview of the development of Sun Yat-sen University’s medical science. During the Q&A session, Dean Chen, along with Director Cai Zhaopeng and Associate research fellow Peng Boya, engaged in meaningful discussions with overseas scholars, and extending a heartfelt invitation to join the hospital.

This international academic visit not only strengthened the hospital’s global academic collaborations, but also contributed significantly to the broader vision of international educational cooperation and development. It marked a key step in the hospital’s internationalization strategy.
